Hi, I have been searching for a Aponogeton Madagascar Lace. I remember you had it in during the winter. I was wondering if you were planning on ordering some more. I wouldbuy a few bulbs if you can
Some special fish have arrived at Pet World in the past few weeks - stop in and check them out!
Help with this fish please. Has cloudy film on eyes and mouth is stuck open. I thought mouth rot when I first looked at picture.
Michele Sauers I'm sorry boo boo, but I don't know about about fish

MelIssa M Phillips Have seen a few tanks where all the fish come down with this. Some success treating with an antibiotic, I think it was maracyn 2 I used. Most of the fish didn't make it. The ones that did, their mouths stayed messed up.

Larry Nau I agree with with Mel's assessment, its ia hard to treat but sometimes the fish pull through. You could also swab some beta-dyne on the mouth as a direct contact bactericide. If you have questions check at the store

Terri Sayer Thank you so much Mel and Larry will give it a go :)

Gordon Dewind The fish has what's called ick you need to go to the Kmart or Walmart and get some medication for it
August 18, 2014 at 7:04 pm
Brandi Hand Definitely not ich. Ich is a parasite that shows up as small white dots covering the body. It doesn't effect the mouth or jaw, only the gills if bad enough.

I picked up one of these little guys at Pet World a while ago and I've been searching for more! Do you know if you'll get more? I think she's a valliant chocolate gourami.
Pet World Valliant Chocolates have not been on the list in about 6 months. As I recall they were a wild fish. We do have basic chocolate gouramis this week
August 14, 2014 at 10:25 pm
Inga Koch I saw them. I'm specifically looking for valliants. My one is doing well but I think it would be more active if I had several more. Please put them on the list!

Why do older tanks have bottom center braces, and why are they no longer made that way?
August 16, 2014 at 8:52 am
Pet World Depends on the tank. Some its just as simple as that was the molded frame and it works on the top and the bottom so why make a new expensive mold?! Others its just the brand and what they felt was necessary. Not matter however, you do not want to fill a tank with a broken center brace as it will likely rupture!
August 16, 2014 at 8:56 am1
Jay Hand The top is good but the bottom is broken. If it's on a good stand it will still brake?
August 16, 2014 at 1:17 pm
Tracy Hand I wouldnt trust it Jay. Use it for a terrarium.
August 16, 2014 at 1:37 pm
I wish I had a before and after shot, but less than 24 hours ago this tank was so cloudy you could hardly see through it. One packet of Clear Magic Powder by Aquatop and it is CRYSTAL CLEAR! And it's cheap :) Very highly recommended.
Nicky Labrie I need one bad

Cute and adorable Holland Lop Bunnies are now available at both Pet World locations!
Pet World updated their cover photo.

August 6, 2014 at 11:12 pm1
Jay Hand She was born in 1950?
August 6, 2014 at 11:14 pm
Donald Petroske-Enedy Yes, she was a gift to a couple for their wedding in 1951 (:
August 6, 2014 at 11:15 pm2
Linda Warner Witkowski Very cool.. !
August 6, 2014 at 11:18 pm
Jay Hand That's awesome! How old do they get??
August 6, 2014 at 11:22 pm
Donald Petroske-Enedy Well... The vet said Marigold is the oldest documented macaw he's seen. But he's seen macaws that were wild-caught years ago and looked very old, much worse than Marigold. He's estimating she'll live to be about 80-90.
August 6, 2014 at 11:24 pm1
Jay Hand That's fantastic
August 6, 2014 at 11:24 pm1

Colorful, gentle and locally raised Bearded Dragons have arrived at both Pet World locations! Stop in today!
African Arowana are now in stock , nice size
Joe Gonzalez They get so big and people put them in small tanks. A shame really
July 20, 2014 at 5:09 pm2
Certainly not a recommended use for an aquarium but is rather spectacular!.. http://youtu.be/_sAW6x0g_S4
Why would a male red top look like it has an egg tube protruding out?
Pet World Hopefully its not early signs of Malawi Bloat. Make sure your are doing frequent water changes and feed some spirulina flake as well!
July 18, 2014 at 2:11 am
Brandi Hand Both yes, And he's not big or anything. It went away fairly quickly.
July 18, 2014 at 2:20 am
Have you ever seen Malawi blue crabs? Are they hard to come by?
Pet World Jay I have never seen the Malawi blue crab (Potamonautes orbitospinus) offered for sale. Checking the web it looks like once the Ohio Cichlid Club had a few for sale. I did see these crabs in Lake Malawi in 1982 in about 20 feet of water - pic below

Hey there :) can I get some more info on the TR yellow plecos?
I put one in my glo tank (which only runs an atinic bulb, so the algae can get crazy). He is only about 2 inches, it's a 30xh, and he cleaned it spotless in two days all by himself! Excellent algae eater!
Pet World This variety of pleco is raised in the Far East and the shipments normally are imported from Vietnam or Taiwan. They are imported under the name Hypostomus plecostomus which is just the normal plecostomus, which they are not. Visit the store the first week of August and you will likely find more of these super algae eaters to add to your tanks.
